5' NUCLEASE PROTECTION ASSAY

An RNase protection assay for mapping the 5' end of mRNAs. Since all of the radiation is at the terminus of the probe, accurate quantitation of mapped fragments is possible.

3' S1 NUCLEASE PROTECTION ASSAY

An RNase protection assay for mapping the 3' end of mRNAs. Particularly useful in analysis of 3' end processing. Since all of the radiation is at the terminus of the probe, accurate quantitation of mapped fragments is possible.

METABOLIC LABELING OF RRNA WITH 32PI

For monitoring rRNA processing over time. Less sensitive than metabolic labeling with tritium, but requires less time to process.
